BBC ‘Luckily’ Podcasters Fi Glover, Jane Garvey Join Times Radio – Deadline

The BBC will say goodbye to two more high-profile presenters with the departures of Fi Glover and Jane Garvey.

The couple, who have hosted the popular BBC Sounds podcast Glad podcast since 2017 will host a new live evening show four times a week, as well as a podcast for Times Radio.

Glover and Garvey are the latest in a string of high-profile star presenters to leave the BBC. Vanessa Feltz recently joined TalkTV, while news anchors Emily Maitlis and Andrew Marr were recruited by Global.

Glover and Garvey’s show will launch on October 10 and details of the podcast will be released soon. His BBC podcast will continue until the end of the year.

In a statement, Garvey said: “I have had a fantastic time working for the BBC. I am now delighted to join the award-winning team at Times Radio. We can’t wait to get started with a live mix of insightful conversations, topical interviews and occasional critiques.”

Glover said: “It has been an incredible 29 years with the BBC. But I’m looking forward to bringing Times Radio listeners some extraordinary stories from some extraordinary people with Jane.”
